first check to see if brake lights work, because brake light switch will deactivate cruis control when you press brake pedal to slow down stop.if brake light switch okay, dealership has to check out cruise control since pcm and vechicle speed sensor control the cruise control also.
There is a switch next to the brake light switch. It is actuated by the brake
pedel. On the brake pedal there is a little urethane/rubber bumper. If that is
gone then it will appear to the switch that the brakes are pressed. Any chance
you found some rubber parts on the floor under your brake pedal?m On my 92 SE-R
I found this urethane material and did not know where it came from. Then I
noticed my cruise did not work. Then I noticed that my brake lights were staying
on. I found these two switches (brake and cruise) were not making up because the
rubber bumpers were gone. relay is located under the hood on the drivers side
Check to ensure your rear brake lights are working. If there is a fault in the brake light switch at the pedal then this is also what cuts out the cruise control. If you have no rear brake lights then replace the switch.
There is a brake light switch that ,disconnects the cruise control, when braking, this maybe the problem, even if the brake lights work fine, the switch still could cause this problem, replace the brake light switch.
Is this a factory cruise ? I would start at the switch down at the bottom of the brake pedal, then wiring, and go under hood and make sure nothing has happended to the cruise assembly.
Please elt me know what you find.
