Question about 1988 Honda Prelude

3 Answers

My parents have a honda civic 2002 and are haivng repeated problems with the battery. This has been replaced once since new and has been looked at by a honda garage who say there is nothing wrong with the battery. This problem occurs even if the car has been in use the previous day. Would another new batttery sort this problem out?

I replaced battery for remote key fob with the new battery for Civic EX 2002 but there is no light (LED) and it's not working at all, please guide.

It's possible the key fob itself was bad and not the battery. Do you have another key fob. It may need to be relearned.

My 2002 honda civic has a check engine light which is showing iac code 505, what is the problem

Take out the air intake tube that goes to the throttle body and start the car. Now have someone hold the gas peddle so the engine stay at 2500 rpm get a can of carburetor cleaner at your local parts store and spray into the throttle body. Car may shut off start it back and repeat process until half of the can is left. reset engine light

2002 honda Civic. Ran fine this morning. Won't start. All dials click rapidly. Battery tests 12 volts.

A discharged battery could have caused this problem, you must have left accessories or lights on...if your battery is working well then it must be the starter...

Have power and accessories until key is turned to start

U will need to replace the ignition switch, this is not the key cylinder but the actual electrical switch the key cylinder operated. see photo. I noted that on your model Honda the switch comes with a new key cylinder, you can just use the switch and use your old cylinder over or install the new parts together.

Need Honda Civic Audio CODE

I had the same problem, took it to a Honda dealership and it took them about 2 minutes to reset it, and he gave me the code. All for free, and I didn't buy the car there. Don't pay!

Stereo error code

The code for the radio needs to be input. the radio must have been disconnected from the battery.
look for the code on a card in the glove box. if no card, then u have to pull the stereo out and get the serial # to the dealership.
