Converting built in infinity radio tuner to get european stations
Hi, I recently imported a 2007 Chrysler crossfire limited from NY toIsrael. Unfortunately the radio tuner can only get American frequencies(unequal numbers) and the Israeli radio stations use the European (equalnumbers) frequencies standard. Does anyone know if it's possible to convert the built in tuner(manufactured by infinity) so it will get the local frequencies, I really wantto keep the original system as it’s part of the dashboard design. Thanks, Barak

Barak, I have a brand new Chrysler Crossfire SatNav European spec model BE 6810 replacement kit. It's plug and play with European Navagation CD's. I purchased it from the UK thinking it would work in North America, it won't so I will sell it.It is a factory solution to your problem. E-mail me if interested. crossfire@ porchlight.ca

When you disconnect your battery and then reconnect it again, it disables the radio. This is an anti-theft protection for your car radio. The enable your radio the activation code is in your vehicle owner's manual. If you do not have this code you need to go to your Chrysler service centre and get them to enter this code for you.
maybe you need to reset the stations because the battery disconnect will cause it to loose them. try the cd to make sure its not just that , sorry if my answer sounds simple but given the info provided thats all i can give . hope it helps.
