Rear end accident in a 97 mitsubishi eclipse, now it won't start

Could this be a saftey thing that has auto shut off? if so how do i reset it.

You should be able to grab it firmly from the bottom-front-center of the seat, slightly yanking both forward and up, it should pop right off.

Car won't start after accident

well its possible a fuel shutoff could be in the trunk i never new they had cutoff switches on them

I have a 2006 eclipse. It shut down while driving, put fuel in it.And it will not start.

try resetting fuel pump kill switch , something have bumped into a accident sensor . did it sputter to a stop or just stop running ? if it sputtered try to prime pump by turning car on for a few seconds a couple of times then try to start . the kill switch is behind one of the side panels in front of the doors . good luck

This is a 2001 eclipse auto, starts then after one or two seconds shut down,

any alarm issues lately, reset alarm also check to see if moisture is under pass carpet pcm may be getting wet

I had had an accident and my automaic fuel shut off kicked in where is te reset button located

there is usually a button located in the trunk. Check your owners manual for the exact location.

2000 Eclipse wont start but does crank over

HI,Check the ignition key. It should have a black plastic end with either an R or N stamped on the key near the plastic. 2. Check the codes in the immobilizer module,You may have a key software issue.

I was rear ended hard and five miles down the road my car shut off the auto shop says its the fuel pump. Can the fuel pump be damaged cause of the accident it worked fine till then?

think you have knocked out the safety switch and it needs resetting to start vehicle,Dont know where this is on this vehicle though but it could be in the boot or under the bonnet but some vehicles have them behind the centre pillar cover or in the front footwell,it should be a smallish square thing with a red rubber cover ,just push the rubber cover down and it should click back on
