Question about 1999 Chevrolet Suburban
I've never replaced a fuel pump on a suburban before and i was told i might have to take the body off, is that true? Also i would like any input on a simple easy way to change the fuel pump. Any information would be helpful.
In order to repalce the fuel pump you need to siphon as much fule out of the tank as possible or run it low if it still runs. Then you will need a jack and jack stands. The tank fuel tank can be removed with a jack and a pice of plywood to lower it. Some basic hand tools are also needed. You do need to have a braod knowledge of cars and hand tools as safety and skill come into play. Feel free to email me if you want more detailed steps. the whole job takes 2-3 hours
