Oil change Hi, not so much a problem as a question. I was wondering what is the best type of engine oil to use in my Nissan Pathfinder 2005?

The manuel should tell you what weight of oil to use, IE 10w-30. If you are asking what brand to use, it really does not matter what brand. Many of the different brands are all actually produced from the same company with different labels on them. The laws that oil companies must follow when producing oil are very strict so one brand of oil is not really different from the other. The differences are so small that there would be no noticable affect on your vehicle. It is the same with fuel as well. One brand of fuel is not any different from the other and unless you have a very high performance engine if your vehicle, the difference between low octane and high octane will not be noticable
As far as the type of oil to use, you have oil, partial synthetic oil, and full synthetic oil. Full synthetic is the best.
I would go with full synthetic with what ever the reccomended weight is for your vehicle. Many cars now have what type of weight to use on the oil cap.

Can i change out the mph instrument cluster to kph cluster in a 2005 nissan pathfinder

if the speed range between the two are different then along with the instrument cluster you will have to change the VSS "vehicle speed sensor" in the transmission as it will read incorrectly if you do not.

White smoke is ok on starting. Changing the engine oil and air filter should do it.

I would just love to know which engine oil is best to used for the 2003 nissan pathfinder

Hands down the two best oils on the market are Mobil One full synthetic and Royal Purple also full synthetic. Both offer long engine life with proper 7,500 mile oil changes and do not "break down" under extreme operating conditions.

I got gas going into my oil just wondering what sencer it is i got to change suv dont miss run good but cant change the oil 2 a week.....1995 pathfinder

This may not be a sensor issue. Sounds more like excessive engine wear. Have a compression test conducted on it and see if the cyclinder pressure dramatically reduced from what it should be.

My 05 pathfinder will start losing oil pressure after about 3 or 4 minutes after being crunk. I can switch truck off and back on and pressure will return to normal then slowly fall out again. I have some...

the pickup tube in the bottom of the pan may be plugged up.
Is the inside of the engine slugged up?
is the oil clean?
if it is dirty inside the engine, you can add a quart of auto trans fluid to the engine oil. it has a lot of detergants and can sometimes break up some sludge related blockages.
It is best to change the oil in a couple of days after adding the ATF
Another thing i have done to try clearing any blockage to the pickup tube, is to remove the oil filter and with an air hose and nozzle, blow into the oil ports and listen for bubles in the oil pan.
Just some ideas.

My 05 pathfinder, seems it has no power when accelerating and it`s marking the oil level higher than normal (pass the level) (i changed the oil two weeks ago and a week after i changed it was half way...

This needs to be checked out right away. Does the oil look kind of chocolaty or does it smell like gas? Your engine is putting coolant or gas into the crankcase and that is bad. Prolonged running will make it progressively worse and ultimately ruin the engine. I'm suspecting leaking head gaskets which is easily repairable. Hope this helps.

Weired sound in engine arround 2100 rpm, pathfinder 2005

Take a look at Nissan Technical Service Bulletin NTB05-15b. Title = "Rattle Noise From Vias Power Valve Actuator / Intake Manifold Collector" This appears to describe your problem exactly. I have the same problem with my 2005 Xterra and I am going to try the recommended fix myself at home.
