I start driving the car, the lights go from dipped beam to parking lights. I have to drive on spot lights to get home. The lights will not stay in main beam. The car is switched off. The lights keep going on, stay on for a whileand then go off on there own accord, this keeps happening until the battery is flat. Jeep say they have done a diognostic check, this is showing no faults and they can not find the problem. I am very worried this is going to cost me a fortune with Jeep and still not get the problem sorted. Please note this is a British car and is the 2002 Jeep Cherokee 3.7 Ltd

i believe yours is rhd that is why you are asking this. if you have no HID modern xenon lights ( probably you dont on WJ), you need to get a black tape and mask the upper 1/3 of your head lights to remove the V marking of light on road. ( which is to illuminate the right side of road) by this way you wont blinding incoming traffic.
hi ,ive got exactly the same problem on my cherokee, ther is a sound of a relay buzzzing under the dash.when i turn on the side lights, nothing, turn on headlamps and i get dip plus side lamps,no dash lights though, after a whils all lights fail but i can pull/flash main beam and hold it on,im taking out the dash area tomorrow, friday ,i have aspare headlamp switch and relay/fuse box ,my mobile is 07712128561,ill keep you posted
had the same problem on my 92....check under the hood on the drivers side, towards the front, there is a "junction box" with all of the lighting wires connecting from the switches to the lights. My wires were all corroded inside,so I cleaned the ends and bought a new box from the local electronic supply store. The problem has not come back.
Well if all those years your car was working perfectly fine with that blue fuse just get a new 1 and replace it. But then if the lights still don't work check all the wiring in the car that goes to the lights and if there is no problem go to a mechanic and ask him to look at it. That's all i can really help you with i'm sorry i'm not a mechanic yet or i would help you further.
