I recently bought a 06 A6 with the basic mmi monochrome screen, is it possible to upgrade the whole system to the colour sat-nav system?

Possible. Google for Audi MMI 2G High retrofit.
Or even Audi MMI 3G retrofit since you have to change number of parts anyway.

Check to see if any right speaker wires are pinched which would cause a short circuit. Make sure no bare right speaker wires are touching the frame of the car.

Hi my MMI system on 2004 A6 asgone dead, no power

No solution, same problem, but had many strange moments: 4 months ago during 100 kms or so it stopped, then suddenly came back, and worked ever since. Hitting the TEL button is somehow also a Reset...

Do the previous 2 posters have anything to report on this matter? It would be VERY welcome!

Thanks,
Jeff

06 A6 MMI radio switches on and off every few seconds. Bluetooth

Your most (fiber optic) system is inoperative. Its most likely your CD player and the bluetooth is an update issue, if it doesn't take the update then you need to replace your telephone transceiver.

you nid mmi circuit board replaced, happened to me after spilling coffee, audi wanted to replace the whole thing with a new mmi system for a lot of money, but Ifound someone to change circuit board for abt £200 which is not bad,the only thing is you have to take out the whole centre console and air con unit and armrest off,so u nid some one who knows how to do it.check on tyresmoke and post from there, will respond and give you more info. The previous owner must have spilt something and panicked and sold the car without being honest. It sucks..........
