Question about 1996 Toyota Corolla

Corolla 96 motot starts to cut and/surge in and out

My 96 original motor. It drives great with the exception of when accelerating, at 3500 RPM the motot starts to cut and/surge in and out. If I back off of the accelerator to abou 3200 rpm the motor performs as always. Now it can do it all the time and not at 3500 rpm like in the beginning. any idea where to start and look.
I have tried the following and still no solution: There is no MAF on this years model.

changed spark plug wires
changed spark plugs
changed rotor
changed rotor cap
tried 2 different whole distributors
cleaned the fuel injectors
by passed the egr valves
even unplugged the car starter before these test in case it was a problem
Gas filter has been changed

Firstly remove the inlet fuel line at the filter and and blow down line with a compressor ,removing fuel cap first,if this doesnt work then it could be fuel pump pressure of air flow meter ,but iam often wrong with this sort of thing and it turns out to be the radio, all joking aside try blowing out fuelline doesnt work??then take it to dealer for computer check

Buick Lesaber, Lower then 1800rpm most time runs fine, Once in while surges high rpm's like driving fast 1900 & above rpm bucks /2100 smooth's out.

Need to take to a shop with a GM tech 2 or higher scan tool. These tools can actually display various sensor readings and voltages in real time and can be used while driving the car to recreate the issue. These are super expensive scan tools so most shops don't have them. Call around or bite the bullet and have a dealer do it. The money you spend on a correct diagnosis will be saved by not throwing random parts at it based on guess work.

1992 chevy 3500 wont shift unless under hard acceleration

there is a transmission sensor on the top of your motor by the intake. it senses the accelerator or motor rpm's and tells the ****** to shift. its about 30.00 and easy to change. get it at any auto parts store.

Engine Cuts out at 3500 RPM

Sounds like you need to replace the MAF sensor its the unit on toyota vehicles that calulates how much Air intake is going into the throttle body and then sends a signal to the ECU of your car which adjusts your Fuel injector compensation. When your MAF Sensor is malfunctioning it will throw the fuel curves out of wack and cause your car to what mechanics call "lean out" or "running rich" its basically your getting too little or too much fuel at higher RPM's and the motor is choking from too much fuel and not enough air. Hope this helps let me know if it doesnt so i can continue to troubleshoot for you via internet
