Question about 1997 Chevrolet Express
Appears the pump is leaking from freeze plug and intake gasket leak is smaller and not yet showing in oil
I had the intake gasket leak on my 97 express 5.7 v8 was leaking down the passenger side rear of the motor had to change the intake gaskets.

You need get the water pump change. seal broken and it is probably stop working.
check the thermostat when you at it. it probably need change too.
