How do you check the transmission fluid level on a 1991 Mazda 323 with a manual transmission?

U need to check if transmission oil or gear oil is needed for ur manual trans try to locate a dipstick normally on d top part of the trans otherwise look for threaded plug again on the upper sides of d trans and ur level would be reached when oil start dripping out of the plug hole in that case no need to fill. Good Luck

if it's an automatic, find the transmission dipstick. if a manual, you have to pull out the 'add' plug on the transmission from underneath.

Where is the place to put transmission oil

The transmission fluid goes in the same tube that holds the dip stick that you check the fluid levels with. You will need a funnel, and be sure to use only manufacturer recommended fluid in your vehicle. Be careful not to over fill. Ensure the Galant is at operating temperature by driving it for about 10 minutes. 2: Open the hood of the Galant and locate the automatic transmission fluid reservoir and dipstick on the driver's side of the engine. The dipstick is labeled "ATF" and is red. 3: Pull the dipstick out of the reservoir, wipe it clean with a rag and reinsert it. Remove it once more and take the measurement of the current fluid level. Do not add any fluid if the fluid is already at the "Full" line; overfilling the reservoir can damage the transmission. If the measurement is between the "Full" and "Add" lines or below the "Add" lines, then continue to Step 4: Insert a funnel into the reservoir and pour a small amount of transmission fluid into the container. Check the fluid levels again by removing the funnel and inserting the dipstick into the reservoir. Pull the dipstick back out and read the fluid level on the dipstick. Continue this process until the fluid is at the "full" line. If you would like to do a transmission filter kit I have found a site with full color pictorial and instructions. Pretty handy!!!

I need to add transmission fluid to the manual transmission of a 1986 mazda 323

please DO NOT ADD TRANS FLUID TO A MANUAL BOX.
on the side of the box you will see a square bolt head,this is the filler/level plug,remove it and, if required, fill with ep90 gearbox oil until it overflows,when it stops dripping replace plug.

Just like any other car/truck, check tranny fluid while engine is hot and idling and check the transmission dipstick. Add fluid as needed into the same hole as the dipstick using a funnel. window.onbeforeunload = function() {}

Adding Transmission Fluid

Get a funnel and pour in the transmission fluid where the transmission oil dipstick is. The plastic container with the yellow cap is probably your radiator fluid (engine coolant)
