Fuel Related Problems On A Nissan Blue Bird

Shaking the filter says that there is a lot of crud in your gas tank that is being sucked into the fuel lines so short of buying gas filters by the case you should drop the tank and clean it out. Hope this helps.

2001 Chevrolet Blazer LS 2-dr, 4 wheel drive, 2 cranks to start

Try replacing the fuel filter first, but it sounds like your loosing your fuel pressure prim when the fuel pump is not working. The fuel pressure should be 62-65 PSI with the engine not running the the ignition key turned on and should drop about 5 psi when the engine is running. If you turn the engine off and check the fuel pressure, it stat steady for morn then 15min. If it drops fast, then you have a leak at your fuel pressure regulator (common) or your return fuel check valve which is located at your fuel sending unit.
Start with the simple and replace the fuel filter, it could just be to dirty to pressurize the fuel system fast enough giving you the hard start.
Thank you for using Fixya and good luck

I think I have a timing issue. My car takes a second to start up and the car jolts when it changes gears. Also, my steering wheel shakes left and right when I'm driving at low speed

Ok,

same car with the AC problem. Timing is not going to make this all happen.

  • If its jaulting as an automatic, through the gears, then probably check and change the fluid and the filter in the transmission. Usual jolting is from lack of fluid pressure, caused by lack of or blocked filter.

  • Start up could be anything from a weak battery to lack of fuel/choke. Try a new fuel filter, air filter element, check your oil and change the spark plugs.

(Symptoms of bad ignition timing are misfire and run on also extreme lack of power and rough idle. The car will also shudder and keep running a few seconds after the key is switched off.)

  • The steering shaking from left to right at low speed could be a few things. Is it only happening at low speed? Sometimes its hard to tell at high speed as it is happening so fast the frequency is almost unable to be felt. However when you brake it should be pretty strong if its a mechanical fault, ie disc warped or bent wheel.

Wheel shake and brake judder

what speeds are you obtaining and braking

I would think that you tires are out of balanced whether it be dabre in the rim or an improper balancing job
some cars can be fine up to 40 but when you step up the speed more the more the tires become unbalanced. making the servere shakes.

Shaking at 70mph

If only happening at a particular speed, the tires & wheels need to be balanced. If shaking were to occur at other speeds, suspension components, alignment, loose lug nuts, and more can cause the shaking . But at only one speed, and then disappears as you lower or raise that speed is caused by out of balance wheels\tires. Be sure to have them high speed spun balanced as "static" or bubble balancing only balances in one plain. Dynamic balance covers across the tread as well as the running "plane" or front and back of the wheel tire combo. Thanks for your question and be sure to rate this soultion for us. Good luck, Papa
