Question about 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee

3 Answers

Heater I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. V8. The car has had all the typical jeep issues I have replaced the tail lamps and the entire air conditioning system. Just recently when I turn on the heat it blows cool air. The blower is fine as it blows according to the setting. However, I turn the temperature dials to HI and still blows cool air. When I turn to defrost the air gets barely warm, not warm enough to melt an ice cube. What could be the issue?

i have the same problem on my 2000 grand cherokee, limited. It has the dual climate control. The heater blows warm air on the driver side and cold air on the passenger side. The dials indicate a temp of 80 or 90 but still cold. Anybody knows what could be the cause. I need help.

I have read articles from another site, the broken doors seem to be fixed more often than not at great expense and work.

It could be a couple of things....a bad thermostat not letting it warm up......broken doors in the heater/ac box......a bad actuator

2001 Grand Cherokee Limited- Driver side rear brake light does not work if tail lights are on. When you step on brake tail light also goes out. With lights off everything works ok.

Very common issue is the lamp assembly (dealer item). They are very bad to ground back through the tail lamp filament, lights on the path has voltage on it and the lamp will not work.

Error code P 0161 for 2000 Grand Cherokee Limited V8

Its related to the oxygen sensor and/or oxygen sensor heater. There are 4 sensors the Jeep is equipped with.

In most cases one of the recommended solution for all those faults is a sensor replacement, however before doing that and spending a lot of money. Go to auto zone and have them tell you what O2 sensor is bad buy it and replace it. Go back to them to have the code cleared. O2 sensors run 20-50bucks. Good Luck

Replaced radiator on 2008 jeep now gets hot & cuts off

I think it is related to the cooling system, still having air in it. Make sure the heater is running/on when your running the engine. Could be a faulty ECT sensor (engine coolant temp.) but proof it out. proof it out, remove the sensor and see if there is air behind it and see if the sensor is within parameters.

How do you replace a heater core in a 2000 jeep cherokee sport?

the entire air unit under the dash must come out. This requires that you remove the dash board center concle and steering column. Also on some models you must drain the AC system and then requires new Orings from Jeep. Would not do this without experience.
