Question about 2003 BMW 325
Its been two weeks and on occasion my car wont start, if it sits for a while it will start. it seems to have power. can it be the battery, it sounds like it ran out of gas. everything turns, no clicking. just wont fully start
Sounds like there may be debris in the fuel line. What might be happening is that the debris/dirt/rust is getting pulled up against the fuel filter when you turn over the engine and it stops the car from starting. You could change the plugs and wires easily enough too. If you pull a plug and there is a lot of buildup on it, that might be the problem. You can scrap or burn off the buildup, but for a couple bucks, it's worth just buying new ones. It sounds like you want to do this yourself because you posted this question, but with a nice car like that, why don't you go to a mechanic? I use the Cartalk website to find good, customer-reviewed mechanics and have had great luck.
