Some newer vehicles dont have a shutoff for the airbag and some have sensors in the seat that tell the computer when someone is there and to turn it on
probably not you might be able to take it to a shop and have them unhook it or install a switch to turn it offprobably not you might be able to take it to a shop and have them unhook it or install a switch to turn it off

It is not always possible to disable the passenger airbag and details will be found in the vehicle handbook. If the facility exists there will be a key switch in the centre console or dashboard and the ignition key is used to switch it off.
It is reckoned there is only one reason to disable the passenger airbag and that is when a baby seat or cradle is used on the front passenger seat. If the airbag cannot be disabled the baby must go onto the rear seat.
Have you had the airbag fault codes read? Until you have that test run you will have no idea what part of the system is causing the problem and warning light. Also right now the system is automatically turned off due to the light being on by the control module..
You could just disconnect the single airbag. Some airbags you can just go through the glove compartment and unplug the wire. Sometimes you have to unbolt it to reach it.
The airbag system in this car is second generation smart airbags, there is no switch, if the weight in the passenger seat is not at least 50 pounds (there is a sensor in the seat cushion) the airbag is switched off to the paassenger seat, but small children should always be in a approved child seat in the back seat anyway.
This light is telling you that you have an Airbag Problem. You might want to Locate a Mechanic and have this Checked out. This is not something that you want to try and fix yourself as the AirBags could go off and Cost a Lot more to have the Dah and Sterring Wheel Replaced. Well, for one you not suppose to put a baby seat in the front of the car. But anyways with an older airbag control system like that you cannot just disable one airbag, if you unplug the passenger side airbag then in an accident neither airbags will deploy.
