Do 99 chev venture have rear daytime running lights

Want to know if this is some type of short or malfunction or if this year had rear daytime running lights. Both amber/yellow directional lights stay on constant. They still function as normal directional lights at same time. This is in auto mode if headlights are turned on manually the rear lights go off and regular red taillights come on.

There should be a relay under the hood or in the fuse box for day time running lights. Most of them are labeled.

SOURCE: 1997 Chevrolet Headlight problem

We had the same exact symptoms right down to the clicking noise under the dash. A friend who is a mechanic provided all the wiring diagrams, etc and when we pulled the dash we found that there was another enclosure behind the dash.....we stopped there.......

....waited a few days, did some research and decided since a replacement headlight switch was about $50.00 the easiest route was to to swap that out hoping it would fix the problem....was also a very easy installation.

Turns out that fixed the problem. Good luck!!!

SOURCE: Headlights won't turn on. Daytime running lights stay on.

My 2002 S10 had the same problem, I pulled off the bottom of the dashboard and bottom of the steering wheel cover (around 8 bolts). There's a plug on the left side behind the cruise control/high beam stalk with several wires attached to it. Turns out some of the wires had become brittle and moving the steering wheel up and down caused them to short. The four small wires for the cruise control all broke off. I pulled out the metal pins and reattached them to the wires, worked for a while...

SOURCE: 2000 silverado The daytime running lights were not

check to see if something is blocking the daylight sensor on the dash. If it is not being blocked check to see if the relay for the automatic lights is stuck. If any of these issues are happening then the headlights would be on switching off the daytime running lights

SOURCE: 99 Chevy Venture dash board lights and tail lights

So are the fuses getting power, they should be labeled. like tail or ctsy, or inst? The dash lights are usually 5 amps. You will need to get a wiring diagram to ck it out. but you may need to start by looking at the headlamp switch. I cant believe any GM dealer could not help you. Forget anyone from a auto parts store being any help. I can ck tomorrow when at work for a diagram.

Had the ignition module replaced on my 99 chev venture and has created more problems like peeping and then hesitation in trying to go forward

Who replaced the ICM ? Check engine light on or flashing ? Without looking the vehicle over an doing some testing , would only be guessing as to what the problem is . Are wires hooked up correctly ? What's the fuel pressure ? Hooking up a scan tool that can view engine sensor data parameters should be done , checking for vacuum leaks , checking fuel trims - short & long term trims . Are the O2 sensors switching normally ? Why was the ICM replaced ? Didn't start an run ?

1998 Chev Venture, I replaced the rear brake shoes. Shortly afterwards the ABS light came on solid. All the wiring looks good and even undisturbed by me. Any ideas?

Reset abs by disconnecting negative ground at the battery for at least 30 seconds & reconnect . The light should be reset!

Auto lighting of daytime running (low beam) lamps

Yes. These are called DRL's or daytime running lights. It is law that vehicles manufactured after 1985 must have low amperage lighting on while running.

93 chev Blazer

perhaps i missed something here... lowbeams and daytime lights are about the same.... be that as it may... the merely obvious thing is that the low beams are burnt out.... next thing would be that the relay for the day time lights could be defective... it's often mounted on the firewall.

04 chev optra i have no daytime running lights and no low beam but the high beam works i have swaped fuses and new bulbs what else can it be

I have a similar problem with my 2005 Optra 5 - daytime running lights are hit/miss. About 3-4 years ago, the alarm started activating itself - FREQUENTLY. Turns out it was corroded wires. Now this. (Take heart - my Corolla had a similar problem - bad sockets - bulbs burned out faster than they could be replaced. Toyota never did admit responsibility.)
