Hyd. struts. Each side will have to be removed individually, the large coil spring is removed, then an insert is installed. After both sides are done, the front end will have to be re-aligned. Over all, not cheap. So you want to be sure you need new struts. There are not shocks, but struts.

Make sure the ground wire isn't damaged. If it isn't earthed correctly, you won't get power!

Front wheels shake going down the road

If you have not hit anything 95 percent of the time it is a tire issue. Can even be a tire issue if you hit something. Broke a belt in the tire. One of the weights came off the rim. I had a garage swear it was a tire rod end once and it did not fix it. Turned out they did not even check the tires. Turned out to be a busted belt and a missing weight. Could have saved myself 800 bucks in labor

I have a bumping or knocking noise underneath my 1999 Cadillac Eldorado, I hear it especially on bumpy roads,it sounds like it's in the front of the car, what is it?

If the steering and suspension parts are OK, could be a lot of things such as loose parts around the engine (e.g. battery tie-down, bumper cover, etc.).
Unfortunately, if a shift solenoid is an issue, the shop is correct and just the start of problems with the transmission. These transmissions are pretty rugged, but they have to be serviced every 80K miles or so or this will happen.

My 2000 Cadillac Eldorado the rearend was sitting up high for a year now then i walked outside yesterday and it wasn't.

This could be a few things that I know of. The rear air shocks compressor could be the problem. If the car was on a car lift with the wheels not flat on a ramp (like hanging) and the compressor was not shut off it can burn up the compressor for the ride sensing etc will try to level the ride but can't. or the thing just went bad. or maybe you have a bad fuse. or you developed a leak in the air bag inside the shock. or the air suppling tubes are loose or bad cracked??? but here is a start good luck mine are out and its costly to have fixed!!!!!! I'm looking to just put on a plain pair of air shocks and by passing the ride sensing etc..... due to cost. IDK but good luck!!

This is caused by worn out shock absorbers, replace them.
