Hello you have a internal problem the best solution is you will have to take the car back to the place you have had the transmission changed even a new rebuilt transmission can be defective and i do believe this is your case i have personally encountered what your saying 10-15 times in my time.If it was a modulator it would not be shifting through your gears at all however a host will be needed to further examine the problem for sure you have some type of warranty this is the best solution i can offer you.

How do u tention the belts in the gear box of a 190e there are 2 polts on the outside i was told that they are the tention bolts??

If you mean the shifting of an automatic by the modulator there is a t handle like deal that you can pull and twist kinda one way or the other and make it shift more aggressive or more tenderly. But if its slipping I would suggest new fluid and filter (including draining the torque convertor) and replacing the stage pistons on the side that can be replaced with the transmission in place.

What transmission fluid can I use in my 1993 Mercedes Benz 190E

AF3 onepx.gif DEXRON®-III Automatic Transmission Fluid
BMW: Power steering use AF3; Models with combined power steering,
hydraulic brake booster, self-leveling suspension system use SLF
Mercedes-Benz: Use only manufacturer approved fluid

Look on the back of the bottle of fluid you are looking to buy, if it does not say is is approved by MB, don't use it.
