Peugeot 407 problems how to replace side window moter

Remove door panel to gain access. Be careful not to break tinnermins that connect the panel to the door. Some of these motors have rivets, some have screws, remove screws, disconnect rails/guides for window, but remember to keep guides in same place when returning new motor into door. Use anything to keep them from falling down. Have to be in the same place they were to continue the same cycle, otherwise motor will run wrong. If first time doing this, take picture's of the unit to recognize placement if possible.

2005 toyota corolla blowing smoke

Blowing black smoke means fuel mixture is too rich, possible choke is stuck partically closed.
Blowing white smoke especially driving off the traffic lights indicates either worn valve guides or worn piston rings. Valve guides require the head to be removed to replace valve guides.
Replacing piston rings means a major engine repair. It maybe better to get a reconditioned motor than replace worn piston rings because other worn engine parts should be replaced at the same time.

On my 1991 buick regal custom, driver window jump off track when you let up but stay on track when going down

I believe that should have guides in the back (maybe two) and possibly one in the front of the glass. Normally you can't see the guides as they snap into a verticle track and hold the glass straight.
If it is a model where it has those guides (most GM's of the time had them) you should see a stainless steel track inside the rubber when the window is down. There would also be holes in the edges of the glass if the guides are missing.
Some times those guides wear or the track gets spread open slightly.
If this is the case, you can try to close up the track a little by squeezing it and/or replace the guides.

If its not guides it may be a damaged roller where you would need to remove the door panel and inspect.

Try checking the fuses. Check the ones in the panel on the drivers side; there should be a cover, remove it and there should be a chart telling what the fuses are for.

Repair window

Often times the mounting tabs from the regulator to the glass may loosen and start tilting which causes the jam. Also if you are in the habit of closing the door without the window being in the fully open, or the fully closed position this can cause the forward guide to warp or break loose from its position. Either way the door panel must be removed. If you remove the lock knob, then, look around the lower edge, there should be 3-4 screws to remove. In the armrest there may also be 1-2 phillips head screws. The inner cap for the mirror has to be popped off or unscrewed. Then at the far outer bottom(furthest from the hinge) pry out slighty and see if you have push in pins with many fin type ribs or if the door panel is slotted to lift straight up and off. I'm sure you are going to fid that the two window mounts have come loose or possibly you may have to search the door bottom insid with a small flashlight to retrieve the nuts that hold those two mounts on. Center the window so it sits evenly against the rear guide, and lock down the two mounts. If you find that the material that is lining the guide has fallen down a few inches, try some contact cement between the metal guide tray and the liner. Be "very" careful not to get any on the sliding suface side. Thanks, Dana
