1998 Buick Lesabre tries to start but it won't

I just bought teh car and we changed the starter and still wasn't starting, so I noticed that the firing order wasn't right, so we fixed that, and now it tries to start but it doesn't, Does the 1998 Buick Lesabre have a way to set the timimg?

The starter on a 1990 buick le sabre clicks once when trying to start but won"t start

if the starter justs clicks once and all the lights stay bright i would say the starter is going bad. sometimes as a test ,you can tap the starter and if it works, it points to a bad starter

1998 buick lesabre refuses to start or turnover until it sits awhile

Sounds like the starter to me(I assumed you meant won't crank when hot).I have replaced only 1 starter(on my neighbor's Taurus)in the 15 years after quitting the GM dealer tech job 15 years ago.I probably could make a career just changing GM starters and alternators.(I only have Mopars in my driveway!)

Were is the starter located on 1998 buick lesabre

Before changing out the starter, be sure that the SECURITY light is not illuminated on the dash. The anti theft security on these GM vehicles can actually disable the starter if it is starting to fail. I see people change starters way too often when its not the real problem. If that light is on, check this link http://vatspasslockpasskeysecurityhelp.yolasite.com/ If not, just repost this problem for more help

My 1998 buick lesabre want start i replaced the starter no fuse is blowed wt could it be the car will not even turn over

If the car won't turn over and the starter is changed to a known good one, then the battery or battery connection could be the cause.

98 lesabre grinding starter

most likely your bendex wheel in the starter is not engaging the flywheel this could be due to a bad solenoid on the starter. chances are it's a bad starter, i would check to make sure all connections to starter are tight and you have atleast 11.5 -12.5 volts of current in the battery. low voltage can cause this problem as well
