Child locks won't release

I have a '97 ford explorer eddie bauer edition. The child safety locks seem to be stuck on the rear passenger doors. I cannot open them from the inside or the outside (there isn't a key hole on the rear doors. So can't try that). When I push the ''unlock'' button on either of the front doors,( or try the key lock), the rear doors make noise like they are unlocking, but you try to open them and they are locked. The two front doors and the hatchback seem to be working properly. What is going on and PLEASE tell me that there is an inexpensive way to fix this.
Thank you very much.

I have a 1994 Kia Sephia I bought in Korea and the child proof locks are activated. Is there anyway to unlock them I've tried everything I can think of.

I have a 1999 ford focus that has a serious problem with the back passenger door. I believe the child safety lock is stuck on as when I open the car the door with either the key or the central locking it will not open. Even when I am inside the car I can still not open the door by pulling the handle. I believe you need to take the child safety lock off with a key but the lock is located inside the door and without being able to open the door I cannot access it, PLEASE PLEASE help as I have not got a clue how I go about fixing this.

I have the same problem on my rear passenger door. The outside door handle does not work, and I mistakenly turned on the child lock switch on that door, then closed it. Now the interior door handle will not unlock the door and renders it unusable. I tried to work a thin piece of metal in between the door and the frame to unlock the child lock, but to no avail. I can see no way to remove the interior while it is closed to get at the locking linkage.

Does anyone have any ideas how to solve this problem?

I can not open the rear passanger side door on my 97 expedition. I had been having problems with the child safety lock engaging itself now I can't open it at all. Who know's what I have to do? Will it be expensive?

Where is the airbag control module located in a 2008 ford explorer eddie bauer edition

The control module is behind the dash to the left of the radio. Remove the two screws underneath the radio, this will allow the dash panel to snap out. You can now see the module. Open the rear hatch, look to the left panel under side window, you will find the module behind it.

2004 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer rear defog switch stuck on draining battery

The switch itself is probably bad. You can pop the switch out and unplug the wires to verify. You can pull the fuse to deactivate temporarily. The fuse is probably powering other items too, so find out what else is sharing the fuse.

Drivers door does not lock

you will have to remove the door panel, check for a disconnected linkage or a broken door latch, sometimes it just needs cleaning and lube, good luck.
