Ford focus electrical problems

Most likely it's the latch is just set too tight and needs moved a touch. Loosen the attachment and set the release hook away from the catch for the boot.

The boot on my T reg ford focus will not open. The lock appears to have jammed. The lock makes the usual noises when the remote or interior button is pressed but does not release. I can't manually...

autobody shops have clever ways to overcome this problem as they see it so often as an upshot of wrecks. so i suggest you drop by one and slip them a 10 dollar tip to do it for you. put the seats down so you can get in and replace the lock mechanism when you get a new one.

The catch mounted in the trunk has a little adjustability. Loosen it and pull it up, retighten. this should solve your problem

Ford focus boot lock will not open using key in lock or key remote. Front panel button has not worked for a long while. The boot opens to about an inch on the latch. Is there anything I can do to release...

try spraying some lithium grease into the latch assembly... Since your latch is releasing the primary catch point and not the secondary, it means the latch itself still works... After using the grease and letting it soak for a few mins, close the trunk and pop it several times and hope it fully releases. If not, you could try putting pressure on the trunk by pulling it open as the key is turned. Don't use WD-40

Central locking on Ford focus 1.4 W reg 2000

hi i would start by checking if there is a relay, it seems that there is a delay on the pressure pump that is supposed to shoot the door pins up.

Cant help with the creaking. However the boot catch is simple enough. Check the screws around the catch, tightening loose ones, i Bet the catch is off centre, as it was with mine.
