Question about 1992 Chevrolet G20

I don't think I have the right shocks

G20 conversion Chevy van 1991. My dads mechanic put in new shocks, but it bounces more than before. How do I tell if he put the right ones in? I do use it to haul and tow med loads.

Note says 2 94018 shocks and 2 94022 shocks. Seems to bounce loaded or not.

    Thanks.!

I could not cross this number i am not sure what brand they are.
when you say bounce you mean that you feel every bump or it continues to bounce after you hit a bump?

What size Allen wrench do I need for a Chevy van g20 1991, to change my brakes?

I think they were a 3/8 allen. I also found that a torx bit T50 I think works also. GM changed the sizes around on some that had heavy duty brakes.

I believe the seats are bolted to the floor of the van. Make sure you unplug all electrical connections before removing the seats.

Manual for 1994 chevy g20 custom conversion van

If you need a shop manual for the chassis you can get a used book from Ebay. If it involves lights or other accessories for the conversion part of the van you could try contacting the company that did the original conversion. I doubt they print books with diagrams for the public.

I inherited a G20 gladiator chevy van and cannot figure out how to get the spare tire cover off the back door??? It sounds stupid, I know.

Most likely Gladiator conversion vans disappeared like many of the other conversion van companies. I am not familiar with Gladiator vans, but most of the conversion vans use the same setup. The chrome ring around tire is latched near the bottom, and usually padlocked to keep others from stealing your spare. If that is not the case, try http://www.v-sales.com/repair.htm . They still sell conversion parts and may be able to help you. Hope this helps

Chevy g20 van steering driver replacement problem

Cannister is your steering box...arm is the pitman arm. check to see if there is a thick alignment spline on either the arm or box. This locates the arm in the correct position. If not center the steering wheel(turn all the way to one side and count turns all the way to other side and divide in half for example, three turns from one side to the other side = 1 1/2 turns to center) and put both front wheels straight ahead, then install arm onto box. It is far easier to put it back than it was to remove.

Electronic Control Module Installation 1994 G20 Chevy Van

I just had the same problem. If it is a regular van try under the driver seat in a plastic box. If it is a conversion van try in a pannel just behind driver seat on side of van wall behind a pannel that looks like a vent.
