Question about 2004 Volvo S40
I recently took my 2004 Volvo S-40 to a dealer in Bakersfield, CA and didn't think to tell them to use synthetic oil. The car engine is a 1.9 liter turbo charged and it was my understanding that I should always use synthetic oil to protect the turbo. Althought the owners manual doesn't exactly say synthetic should be used, it does mention synthetic as one type that can be used. Your thoughts on this matter is greatly appreciated.
Hi, I read your question and you dont have to worry about the convencional oil at the moment, but sinthetic oil is higly recomended and it realy help to protect not only the turbo but the engine too ,allways try to use the same brand and type of oil ,Mobil 1 is a great choice but you can do your own research.....good luck.......
