Here's an update on my problem

My son and I dug into the dash and discovered that is held together with just a few clips and screws

You need to disassemble from the bottom up and the outsides in toward the middle

1.take both side panels off (fuse cover on passenger side and a duplicate cover drivers side )

    2. Remove the grey cover panel above the drivers pedal held on with plastic tabs

    3. Remove single screw underneath drivers side above gas pedal

4.move to passenger side and remove single screw located under the fuse panel

    5. Remove last screw under ashtray passenger side

That will free up all the lower panels the upper part of the panels are held in with clips you just need to gently pull the top out

    6. Pull the center trim out its held in with clips also to get it out you will need to lower the steering wheel all the way down and put the shifter selector in the lowest position

there you go to reassemble just reverse the steps
