Question about 2000 Hyundai Sonata
I have 2000 sonata w/ 114k miles. this problem just happened so i don't know if it is heat related or not. the car was running fine, then just cut off as if someone turned the ignition off. when the car stalled, all the interior dash board idiot lights went on like it does when you first turn the ignition. if the car sits for a minute, you can restart it but only for about 30 seconds. i let it sit for approximately 10 minutes and started it again. it ran for about 3-4 minutes then went back to just running for 20 seconds. when i went under the hood, just before it conks out, i hear like relays clicking on the left side firewall. while it's running for those 20-30 seconds, i can rev the engine ok, but once i hear the relays, it dies.
any suggestions where i might start looking?
Has anybody been working on the car latley or has it gotten the spark plugs or wires changed latley the clicking that you hear is normally spark plug wires going bad they ark a spark to the closest metal around them 1 way you might be able to see is pop the hood and start the car at night if you see it sparking then thats it just buy a set of wires there prob 40 bucks... I had alittle toyota and thats all it was its because there small 4 cylinder cars so something tiny will make the whole motor act up,, Check that and let me know ill help you out more with any questions please rate me
