Question about 1995 Lincoln Town Car
I am unable to turn off the radio. when we bought the car the owner stated that the radio doesn't work, but we were able to get it to work, but now it won't turn off when the car is cut off
I have seen people remove the factory radio, cut the harness and splice it to an aftermarket headunit, then attempt to reattach the factory harness they cut off to install the OEM radio back in proir to sale. Try removing the radio and look to see if the wires have been tampered with. If so you need to reconnect the harness wire by wire and use crimp connectors not the twist and tape method. Otherwise the electrical system has been altered elsewhere. The ACC lead to the radio should power off the radio when you turn off the ignition no matter what unless the electrical system has been modified.
