Question about 1995 Chevrolet G20
Hello, and thank you for your help. I have a 1995 Chevrolet G20 sport van. Last night, the inside door handle on the driver's door stopped functioning. This is a lever-type handle which is pulled up in order to open the vehicle door. At the moment, the handle goes all the way around in a circle, and does not engage the mechanism which opens the door. I'm looking for a schematic for the inner workings of the door, so that I can know what I'm looking for before I open up the door panel. Do you know where I could find such a schematic? Is there a common problem (and therefore, hopefully, a common solution!) to this problem?
This was a lot easier than I thought. The underside of the door handle itself had cracked, where it grabs the teeth of the opening mechanism. We popped off the old handle, and popped on a replacement. Whammo. Thanks!
