Question about 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee
WINDOWS ARE UP AND HEATER IS ON HIGH, AIR IS ESCAPING THROUGH AN AREA BEHIND THE DRIVERS DOOR OUTSIDE CHROME TRIM. TRIM FEELS LOOSE AND NOT SURE IF IT IS 3M TAPE OR HAS ATTACHMENTS THROUGH DOOR PANEL.
Trim generally does not have much to do with body sealing. Check to make sure that the rubber door seals are intact and are actually touching the door frame. Make sure your door is properly aligned in the frame. Sometimes the hinges wear and cause some drooping. If condition is not severe, sometimes you can "fatten up" the door gasket by sliding a length of rubber hose inside it. As far as trim goes, most trim on Jeeps is glued on.
