I had the same problem, I took it into to the dealership four times and they said nothing was wrong with it. It eventually started a terrible grinding noise later. I drove my truck to michigan one day and took it into the dealership there and they knew exactly what it was. It was my 4X4 drive actuater. Then they replaced it I no more problems until a few months later the other side went out. Might want to see if you have the same issue.

Go to a Kragen or Auto zone, they can test the system for a trouble code that the light will have set, then post it on this thread and I will look it up. This test is free

Why is my 2005 f150 hesitating to go into drive when I stop?

Check trans fluid and levels. Next I would suspect a solenoid or possibly bad clutches in the trans. A reputable trans shop should be able to determine which it is.

What causes 2000 Lincoln contineal check transmission light to come on?

First of all check your Trans fluid level, some times the computer will say its at an ok level when its not. Then take it to 3 trans shops for an estimate, these shops are notorious for ripping you off. Good luck

This is an engine warning light.Check all fluid levels.Check all electrical and non electrical connections to the engine.

We have a problem with the over drive. ligth blinkns O/D at the shift

Try checking the transmisson fluid level if it is low this could cause the problem you are describing, any slight loss of transmiion fluid can cause the transmisson shift to shift incorrectly.

My daughters 2005 4 door elantra has a brake warning light that won't go out.the car was examined and she was told that every thing with that system was working fine and he couldn't say why the warning...

The brake fliud resorvoir may have a sensor on it that is at fault. Also if the brake pads are getting very tin the light will stay on for the brake fluid is low if not filled. Fill the fluid up and see if the light goes off. The sensor if equipt will have two wires for a conection

Binding when making tight turns

duty solenoid that controls transfer clutches may be at fault, check the obvious first starting with level and condition of trans fluid if its ok make sure all tire sizes are correct and same, different tire sizes can cause binding in turns, all tires need to same circumfrence,if this is ok there is a empty fuse slot i believe in fuse box under the hood, place fuse in slot marked FWD,by putting a 15amp fuse in this slot it forces trans into front wheel drive a warning light on the dash will illuminate FWD,drive the car in your culdesac and hpefully binding wont occur signaling a problem with your transfer case either the clutches or that duty solenoid, the check engine lamp is probably not related to this concern good luck!

Auto box change is rough and multifunction light comes on occasionally

Check the trans fluid level asap. if the fluid level is OK, i would advise to take this vehicle in for a scan on the PCM. there may be some issue concerning the shift solenoids operational value.

The Scan will direct you to the actuall issue, via code.
