Question about 1989 Cadillac Eldorado
Ok i am 15 years old and me and my grandma want to go to gebo's to look at the prices for the cattle gates and to go to the junk yard to look at parts for my car. and my dad took the keys with him out of town in colarodo and he is going to be gone for 3 monthes and that is the only pair we have and i want to know what the easyest way to start it with out the key
First off you wont be able to without causing damage. If you want to drill out the lock tumbler pins, then u can start with no key, or you can be a brute and just smash a screwdriver into the tumbler till it breaks and you can turn the screwdriver like a key. If for some reason the stearing lock is not engaged, or you can disable it another way, you can hot wire the car at the ignition switch, by twisting the constant hot, (red probably) with the other hot, (probably red/ white) and touching the starter wire to this splice until it starts, then remove starter wire. starter wire vary's in color, may be brown.

Lmfao... so this kid wants to steal the Eldorado, well he will need a tow truck, first off if you do not have the key with the matching RFI chip in it, you can have an exact copy of the key and it still will not start, so forget hot wiring it and forget going to the dealer to get a key cut because each RFI is dedicated to that car alone. The dealer will not give you a matching RFI for the new key needing to be cut unless you are the REGISTERED OWNER OF THE VEHICLE!!!. Then they are going to charge you over 300 dollars for the chipped key. So that car is not going anywhere until Daddy hands over the keys. Besides if he is looking to buy a cattle gate he is probably on a farm and i dare you to name me any farmer without a pickup in the yard. Second he has his own car and has no need for Daddy's Cadillac. Third, can't you remember being 15 and wouldn't you have loved to take out your fathers car while he was away ? Please do not tell kids how to steal cars, besides none of you gave him any information that would work.

The dealer can get you new keys with the vin and the registered owner.
