Question about 2002 Volvo S60
I am from Namibia and bought a second-hand 2002 Volvo s60 from Singapore. The local Volvo Dealer in Windhoek has the only volvo specialised repair centre, but is not prepared to service or repair any volvo that was imported from outside Southern Africa.
My automatic gearbox started to give me problems and I took it to a gearbox specialist, but it seems that he struggles to get it fix - the valve body had been overhauled completely, as well as the torgue converter and so on. The gearbox is know going to be removed for the 3rd time - I think is something with the electronic control from the computerbox that might give problems - is there any sort of checklist that you can provide me with so that I can give it to him to go through the smallest possible thing that can cause the problem.
He told me that the car would change up to 3rd gear - than it is if the 3rd and 4th want to go in at the same time and than it would cut out and try to do the same. I think this guy is sharp on the mechanical repair of the gearbox, but lacks a bit expert knowledge on the electronics. Please help me - I miss my Volvo
Has he tried to replace the b4 servo cover and the seloniods volvo has a lot of problems with those and they have computer reprograms also
