Blowing white smoke out of exhaust pipe

White smoke is usually a sign for a bad head gasket. How much white smoke is coming out? Also, are you losing coolant and can't find a drip under the engine?

S320 smoking in gearbox after changing and fixing Exhaust pipes

If any electric welding was used on the car during the exhaust pipe work and the ground clamp wasn't in the proper location, there is a possability that your gearbox might have been damaged (fried).

What caused white smoke from exhaust?

Generally, white smoke is engine coolant burning. If it only happened for a few seconds, you may have leaked some on the exhaust pipes.
I would check the engine oil and coolant levels with the engine cold, and then look for coolant leaks.

The dinging from the dash is the Air bag system check. Check that the bulb in the dash isn't burned out. The stalling and spitting could be clogged converter. Check how much exhaust is coming out of the tail pipe when you rev it. The smoke could just be from a leaking valve cover gasket.

I recently had a 100,000 major service on my 2004 TL. Within a couple days I noticed a pronounced smell of burning oil. I have since noticed a puddle of oil has formed under the car and just today there...

It's probably OK to drive. I imagine they failed to get the oil filter properly seated and you're getting a little leak there. DO BE SURE to check the oil level before you drive it and add if necessary.

Too much smoke from Exhaust pipe

Is the check engine light on? If it is, then take the car to an autoparts store and have them scan the computer for any codes stored. Most parts stores will do the scan for free. This smoking condition can be caused by things as varied as bad piston rings to an ignition timing problem. Getting the codes and showing anything the computer has identifed would be helpful in taking appropriate action. If the check engine light is not on, then you may want to get an automotive technician to assist you in determining the exact cause. Sorry for your trouble and I hope this helped. Best wishes.
