Hi flacurias, the 351W typically holds 5 to 6 litres including the filter based on stock sump depth, add 5l and start your engine, run for 1/2 minute or so and check the oil if any oil is still needed it will be a small amount, hope this helps good luck to you

Why is so ******* oil consumption?

Older motors do use more oil. The oil is leaking because the springs between the piston and the cylinder are a bit worn out. The cylinder and pistons also wear a bit. You could minimise the oil usage, when you let the motor give a revision. That will cost a lot. As long as you don't need to pour in more oil you should try to live with it. Don't buy expensive oil, because it can't become old in the motor.

Ford truck xlt ranger oil in throttle body ? good or bad

The most common cause is too much pressure in the crankcase. It could be bad piston rings, or a problem with the PCV system. The engine is supposed to draw fumes from the crankcase into the intake and burn them, but the intake may be getting real oil instead of just fumes.

Have a oil leak on oil pan on my f350,got the oil pan lose, but cant get the oil pan out, trans is in the way, do i loosen the trans or motor mount on engine

Remove the motor mount bolts and raise the engine slowly. Don't dent the oil pan when raising the engine! After the engine is raised, you should have enough clearance to remove the pan.

Where is the oil filter

if it's a 4 cylinder then the oil filter is a catrige type. there is a housing with a black plastic cap some where on top of engine on driver side.
if it's a 3.5 litters then it's in front of the car on the bottom near the pulleys
if it's a 3.6 litters then it's in the front of the car under the exhaust manifold
if it's a 3.9 litters then the oil filter is the same as 3.5l

first you want to check to see if there is the correct amount of oil in the engine. then you need to check to see if the oil is getting to the top of the motor. you can do this by looking into the valve cover from the oil filler or the vent. If your not getting oil to the top of the motor you need to replace the oil pump. if you do have oil in the motor and its getting to the top of the motor then you need to check the oil sending unit wire if its good and tight then I would replace the sending unit.
