SOURCE: Where, exactly, is the orifice tube located on my truck?

the orfice tube is locate in the line between condenser and evaporator. near the spring lock coupling. you must unbolt the cruise servo and overflow bottle, reposition them out of way and you will see the line connection..the orfice is inside line near that uniion. the ac system must be evacuated prior to removal, and recharged afterwards..

SOURCE: orifice tube location on a 1995 gmc jimmy

it is located in the high pressure AC line at the AC evaporator core inlet. The high pressure line is the smaller of the two AC lines that come from the AC compressor on the engine..

Where is the orifice tube located on a 2001 Chevy Tahoe?

Can't remember exact locations. But here is how to find it. From the compressor, follow the hose/tubing to the dryer(Big aluminium container). In the tubing you see it go from one size to a smaller size. This is where the orifice/expansion valve is. There will be a coupling to take apart. It can be two nuts to unscrew or a quick disconnect coupling. There are tools to pull it out. I just ground down a pair of needle nose pliers to pull them out. Twist it as you pull it out.

2002 taho location of orifice tube, ft and rear systems

I would check the low and high readings with a gauge set first.
Its possible the compressor has failed internally.
If the orifice is plugged up one of the lines should be cold where the freon gas is concentrated.
The fan clutch is working ok, right ?
I'm showing an orifice tube in the front and an expansion valve in the back, so its doubtful both would fail at the same time.

Where is the orifice tube located?

The orifice tube replaces the typical expansion valve in your A/C system. It is located in the condenser outlet pipe, which is the high pressure side of the system.
I hope this helps,

Expansion valve location

raven 1g: Your car doesn't use an expansion valve. It uses a fixed orifice tube which is located in the smaller of the two A/C lines, just before they enter the cabin area of the car.
Just disconnect the line and pull the orifice tube out of the line. Be careful not to break off anything and leave it in the line.
