the front o2 is what the computer reads to adjust fuel. rear o2 is just so it knows the catylitic convertor is doing its job

Here are a few thing's to check ! Besides these checks , does the throttle plate open all the way ? No binding ? You'll need to take the air cleaner assembly off to see the throttle plate. How many miles on it, possible timing chain.

2003 chevy aveo #1 O2 sensor

#1 is the up-stream sensor (The O2 sensor located before the Catalytic Convertor). #2 is the down-stream O2 sensor. This sensor is located after the Catalytic Convertor. I hope this helps, let me know if you have other questions concerning this issue. Good luck.

Our engines only have 2 O2 sensors. This one would be after the cat. I would replace both, but it's odd that this particular went out first. Usually it's the one upstream right next to the exhaust manifold. The O2 sensor that is after the cat is much more difficult to change due to the wire connector. It's located darn near on top of the transmission, PIA, but doable. The first sensor is the one that will give you better gas mileage, plus it's super easy to do, so replace both while you're at it. Try and stay away from Bosch if possible, both Trailblazers, and Envoys don't like these. However, I had to buy Bosch due to availability of local autoparts stores, and I'm one of the few who haven't had a problem with them.

2004 GMC Envoy check engine light remains illuminated. Diagnostics revealed codes: P1133 and P0128. P1133 points to a heated oxygen sensor and P0128 indicates a possible defective thermostat. The O2 sensor...

Leave 02 sensor alone ,it is doing it's job . It is heated up because of lean fuel mixture due to incorrect engine temp.,replace thermostat before looking further.

O2 Sensor

not very, but I own an 04 envoy, same engine light troubles, figured it was the o2 sensor, so I took it to my mechanic to have him tell me which sensor, so I could replace it.  Turns out the sensors are fine, but the secondary air pump is malfunctioning and needs to be replaced.  This is apparently a very common problem with this car, and I would suggest having a diagnostic ran before replacing anything, and besides, if it was an 02 sensor, there are 3 or 4 of them on the envoy and you need to know which one is failing anyway, and only a diagnostic can tell you that.
