07 aura no crank no start everything comes on when key is in start position no click no nothing

Anti-theft light lit on the instrument cluster ? This is a complex computer controlled circuit ,starting . The ignition switch is a input to the BCM - body control module and when it see's start request signal , it will energize the run crank relay powering up the vehicle . And also send's a message via the GMLAN serial data bus network to the ECM - engine control module , which will energize the starter relay turnning over the motor . GMLAN is general motors own version of C.A.N. - controller area network How to Diagnose Controller Area Network CAN The first place to start diagnosing this problem , check battery , cable connections , check for DTC's diagnostic trouble codes !

When the ignition switch is placed in the Start position, a discrete signal is supplied to the body control module (BCM) notifying it that the ignition is in the Start position. The BCM then sends a message to the engine control module (ECM) notifying it that CRANK has been requested. The ECM verifies that the transmission is in Park or Neutral. If it is, the ECM then supplies 12 volts to the control circuit of the START relay. When this occurs, battery positive voltage is supplied through the switch side of the START relay to the S terminal of the starter solenoid.

Where is the body control module located on a 1996 Oldsmobile Aurora.

You would need to see if any DTC'S -diagnostic trouble code's are stored in the BCM , That's the first thing that should be done . An a special type scan tool is needed , not a code reader for engine code's. If no code's ,checking power an ground circuits to the BCM need's to be done. Input an output test's have to be done as well . You need wiring diagrams , pin out diagram of BCM connectors . Need to know what all the BCM controls etc... Suggest you watch this videos . I have 1998 mitsubishi mirage i have just changed ecu /ignition assy with key reader and ignition module but the ecu is out of a different car to the ignition and module.will i need to code or synch ecu to...

Yes. problem is that some years won't sync with others. You should have gotten everything out of the same car. Then you wouldn't have to do anything except start and drive your car. you did get everything you needed, just got them out of two different cars. Codes won't match. 1 in 1000 chance they will match codes. I do this all the time, but you have to gt everything out of one car. ECM, BCM, Key,Ignition chip, and some times the instrument panel. And there is year specific, because of transmissions. But I can fix that problem also.

How can i find the Location of the BCM on a 2006 Ford Focus?

it needs to have a matching program for the ecm and the immobiliser. A new key cut to the existing barrel/lock and programmed to the vehicle ecm will solve the problem. Even if you get a new barrel and key you will still have to have it reprogrammed to the ecm and immobiliser system

Does the BCM in a 1996 plymouth voyager control the ECM?

body control module BCM controls body functions like ac,doors, gauges, and the related while the ECM controls engine management systems, and have little inpact on each other chrysler was the first to network these systems together on a high speed hardwired network ecm relays temp data oil pressure alt voltage and mileage maybe a couple other things i cant remember off the top of my head all that goes to the bcm then is sent to the instrument cluster so it is very possible to have the same problem caused by to seperate modules with that being said in less than a year i think they better look closely at the connectors and pins in the wiring i have have multiple problems with the connectors on these models hope this helps

BCM controls your passlock system. All that is required is leaving your key in the igntion with it on for around 10-15minutes. Then attempt to start. The passlock system is self learning. Let me know if this works, if not we can trouble shoot from there. Thank you for using
