You are going to need an overhaul, once the trans starts to slip that is the end of the clutches inside the trans.

My automatic transmission is slipping once the car gets warm in my 1986 honda accord LX-i

Once a transmission slips-- it is done

Time for a rebuild

THERE IS NO OTHER SOLUTION

It slips,it has done that for awhile, that is an
internally worn out trans

1986-- I would get rid of it

You never install a used trans & $2,500 for a reman
or rebuild, makes no sense.

The whine is a worn out pump or stuck pump valves

2000 GMC Jimmy slips when starting out in drive

Once a transmission starts to slip & you notice it,
it has been going on for awhile & usually only a rebuild
will resolve that

One slip, one time, you get right home & park it
or you ruin it

Coming to stop sign by putting break gear slips then return to park move to drive runs. second as i drive in curves slips but as give gas enough continues running.

Just to make sure I got this right. If you come to a stop, the car won't pull again unless you put it in park? Then, if you start into a curve, the transmission starts to slip unless you give it more gas? This could be signs of a bad torque converter, failing fluid pump (not as likely), or burnt/low transmission fluid level. Check the transmission fluid after the vehicle has been driven (warm engine), leave it running, and on a level surface. Check the level twice and take the lowest reading.

Well, my transmission likes to slip majorly between 1st and 2nd gear. and if im just starting the car (like first thing in the morning), ill give it about a minute to warm up and then ill leave. well when...

After the engine reaches operating temp, on a flat level surface, check the fluid level in the transmission (running in park) If it's low, top it off. If it's full, chances are there is an internal seal that is allowing pressure loss, preventing the transmission clutches to fully engage. You could try changing the fluid and filter, adding lucas trans conditioner. That may help a bit but most times the only permanent cure is to rebuild/replace the unit. Don't expect "instant results" from the conditioner. often it takes a few days to work...it took a long time for the seal to wear.

96 grand prix slipping transmission

Once it starts slipping in all gears it needs a kit. You need a hoist to get the thing out and back in. If you are looking for a low buck fix many junkyards will sell you a used one and put it in. They are almost always cheaper than a "Transmission Shop". If you have the tools and want to do it yourself buy a service manual for the car from eBay or Amazon or a former Pontiac dealer and have at it. It's not all that difficult with a hoist but it is still along day.

I have a 1996 pontiac grand am the trans shifts fine in all gears but wont move seems to be stuck into park i can feel it going into gear and tries to move and trans isnt slipping it is a automatic when...

Tip on end of park rod has slipped and is staying in the park position. Put car in neutral and get out and rock car back and forth by hand. Tip will slip out and car should move. This will not fix the tip problem as they are crimped on and the crimp has slipped. I installed a master electrical switch and never put the trans in park. I start and stop car in neutral and use switch to shut of electrical. Costs $ 800 to fix trans as park rod is last item out of trans. Cheap solution for me as car is a beater and am driving until it quits. Best of luck.
