Do you have the owners manual? It will list what the manufacturer recommends at 30k. Better yet, ask the dealer what is included for the $600+. If you post the list to me, I'll give you my opinion on what I recommend to have done, and what I believe isn't necessary. I have driven many cars to very high mileage, and all of these vehicles never went to a dealer for service (new and used). I feel the many service checks are for people that abuse their car, have money to burn, and want to support the dealerships service department. Honda makes a quality vehicle, if you change fluids and filters, you will enjoy it for many miles/years. Hope to hear from you with list.

Service engine soon

Hi,
This is to notify you that your car needs serviced, due to a set number of miles having been driven. Usually, 5,000 miles.
Check the Owner's Manual for specifics or to the dealer.

Wrench sign showed up

this sign means the car is due for a service. when you take it to get serviced, the dealer will turn off the light. the lights are set to come on at every service interval ie; every 30,000 miles etc.

I just bought a used car 2005 Scion TC with 80000 miles. I did a mechanic check .Those people told me the transmiision fluid is dark. Evertything else is pretty good. What is the cost of the transmission...

Why would you ask about what any auto service would cost,
by going to the internet?

You will be dealing with a repair shop, trans shop etc,eg: a
merchant you pay. Only they will know what they feel like charging you

I once owned a trans repair shop ,I will tell you if the fluid is dark
it HAS NEVER BEEN CHANGED EVERY 30,000 MILES
and if you change it now it will slip.

YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT THAT VEHICLE
Educate yourself in the future

The transaxle is now due to be rebuilt as a result of the
previous owners knowing abuse

I have a '06 Eclipse GT V6 with 40K miles on it. I called the Mitsubishi service department to do either 30K or 60K scheduled maintenance. They have marked down on the quote sheet for automatic...

You need to do the trans fluid and power steering every 30,000 miles on all vehicles. Forget what they say
I used to own a trans shop.
Flush Brake fluid every two years
Coolant every three
Spark Plugs at 60,000 miles
Fuel Filter 30,000 miles.

I would stay far away from the dealer
Go to a local shop

What is most important maintenanace service at 30,000 miles for 2006 Jeep GC HEMI V8? is it spark plugs? Any suggestions?

the most important (in my opinion) is changing the transmission fluid( transmissions for those cost about $4,000.00 to replace) its supposed to be changed every 30,000 miles. ( spark plugs can last up to 100,000 miles before needing replaced.)

My 2006 Malibu LTZ has 25,600 miles of easy driving. Dealer wants to perform an ''air/fuel induction service''. Is this necessary at barely 30,000 miles. Car runs very well -- I have had no problems....

PREVENTATIVE maintenance is to assure a smooth running, efficient low cost car.
Now on the subject of using regular all the time, you do not want a buildup of carbon in your intake manifold(the lungs of the engine) so as not to "clog" or damage the emmission sensors and valves that can cost plenty to replace.
A carbonized intake manifold could cause as much as $1000.00 worth of repairs to have to be done. So spending approx. $150.00 to do a fuel injector & induction service seems a less expensive alternative.
Also it would pay you in the long run to put in a tank of super every three or four tankfuls, with a can of fuel injector cleaner at that time.
Remember, it is better to spend a little bit extra now than hundreds later. Now said, to replace 3 EGR sensors and valve, plus have to do an intake induction service on top of all that. So be smart, do your PM's regularly but i think just by running fuel injector cleaner every 1,500 miles would be fine. Take care and I hope this helps.

1992 Lincoln Continental engine/gasket problem

These vehicles are historic for head gasket problems. Ford had issued a recall because there where so many problems. The new head gasket is a different material than the original. Cost to replace varies by shop and geographic location, plan on around 1100 bucks.

Dealer wants to replace plugs at 30,000 miles on '06 tacoma V-6

it's better safe than sorry, if you replace the plugs every 30,000 miles it's only going to cost you about $120 over the life of the vehicle.
