A lot of radios have an aditional fuse on the radio itself or in the power wire to the radio. I would check those.

If the fuse is in the stereo, then it would be on the back somewhere where the wires go into the stereo. If there is a fuse on the power wire, you will have to follow the wires back into the dash a little ways. Generally if there is a fuse on the power wire it will only be a few inches away from where the wires go into the stereo. But you will have to pull the stereo out to check both of those.

If you have removed all screws you should be able to pop the panel off. Be careful not to break anything. You will have to make sure you have removed all the screws. Once this is done you should be able to pop the panel off. Then you can get to the stereo itself. There will probably be some screws and possably metal tabs holding the stereo in. You can bend the tabs and remove the scews and it will slide out far enough to check behind the stereo.

Is this the factory stereo or an after market stereo?

Normally the stereo comes out from the front. There should be a panel on the front that comes off.

You may. It depends on how they have it installed. I have never had to use anything other then basic type tools other then maybe a special type screw driver with an end that looks sort of like a star. Other then that there were no other types of special tools that I have ever used. I don't remember ever pulling out a stereo on an A6 though. If you can find out what kind of tool you need you may be able to rent the tool from your local parts store.

I dont remember if that year had a theft lock system or not, but I am looking into it. disconnect the negative battery cable for ten minutes and that should get you back to where you can enter the unlock code again and use the radio.

Turn on radio - the word SAFE will appear in the display. Press th P.SCAN and RBDS buttons simultaneously and hold them down until "1000" lights up in the display.Release buttons.Do not, under no circumtances, continue holding them down or press them once again. This will cause the radio to consider the number 1000 to be the input code.Use station buttons 1,2,3,and 4 to enter the code number on your Radio Card. Use the button 1 to enter the first number 2 for the second number 3 for the third number and 4 for the last number.Once you have entered the code and it shows on the display, press the P.SCAN and RBDS buttons down again simultaneously and hold them down until the word SAFE appears in the display.Release buttons. 1999 audi A6 need radio code please

DO YOU HAVE THE ORIGINAL RADIO MANUAL THAT CAME WITH THE VEHICLE? THE CODE IS PRINTED ON THE CARD IN THE RADIO MANUAL. THAT PAGE ALSO GIVES THE INSTRUCTIONS TO GET RADIO OUT OF "SAFE" MODE.

YOU NEED TO HOLD DOWN THE BUTTONS DESCRIBED IN MANUAL TO GET THE RADIO DISPLAY IN THE CODE ENTRY MODE.

How can I find a replacement 6 CD disc changer for my Audi A6 (2005 model) please?

Most of the OEM headunits and changers are made by common radio manufacturers. Visit http://www.crutchfield.com and contact them. They make adapters that will interface an aftermarket changer to your factory system. if you could get me a model number and any other info offf of the radio and the changer I will research adapters and which brands and models of changers will work.
