Question about 2007 Suzuki Forenza Sedan

1 Answer

Both headlamps stopped working at same time

I have a 2006 Suzuki Forenza and all of a sudden both of the low beam headlamps just stopped working at the same time. My brights and parking lights still work, so I thought it was a fuse so I replaced the fuse. No luck, so I bought new bulbs for the low beams, I tried replacing one of the bulbs and it still doesn't work. What else could be the problem? Do I need to change both of the bulbs for it to work, shouldn't the one I just changed be working if it was the bulbs?

I have a 2006 Suzuki Forena with the same exact error, I've replaced the Bulbs and checked the fuses but all are fine and the issue continues. I did run across a recall that you may want to look at.

Low beam head lamps are not working,But the high beams are working fine.I checked the fuses they are good.is there anything that i need t check?

This is a recall issue on the 2004-2007 Forenza. You need to contact a Suzuki dealership and they should do the repair for free under the recall. It is a connector behind the dash cluster that melts and causes the low beams to stop working. My girlfriend just had hers do the same thing and we took it in and it was done free of charge under the recall. Hope this helps.

The Module for the DRL is most likely bad, the DRL Module is squarish in shape and Black in color and would be located in the fuse area or in the engine compartment. Just pull it straight out and purchase another one and re-install. Buying new low-beam lights will not solve the problem, because if your low-beams work when you turn on your headlights than it is not your bulbs. The DRL Module uses your low beam lights, but at a lower intensity than when it is normally on, so if your low beams work when you turn on the headlight switch than your DRL Module is bad.

Changed the bulbs, checked the fuses, and replaced the switch in the 2004 suzuki forenza. Low beams still out. Need the wiring harness location to check it out.

Call the dealer. I had an 05 and the daytime running lights stopped working the my low beams stopped. There was a recall, BUT they never sent out notices. I found out by doing a google search.

Low beam headlight are not working. high beams and fogs lamps work fine. is there a fuse for a controller?both low beams stopped working at the same time so i don't think it the fuse for the headlamps.

The problem could be the headlamp switch.
You are right about the fuses. There is one for the LH high/low and one for the RH high/low.
Have you tried turning on the lamps manually with the switch?

You should check the dimmer switch. It is the switch that is totally in charge of high and low headlight functions.
