Question about 2006 Chrysler Neon
Mine is the same, so I lock mine manually, using the rocker switch on the drivers door. Set all of the other switches to lock (use the power lock button) then open the drivers door to get out and before closing the door flick the rocker switch on the door to lock and shut the door. This makes sure the doors are locked but disables the alarm. You will notice that the red flashing light on the dash which lets you know that the alarm is engaged will not be flashing, the alarm is disengaged. Much easier than disconnecting the battery...
Read the manual to identify the power lock button from the manual door lock switch.
