Clean the EGR valve seat. The EGR may have become stuck. A good way to check for vacuum leaks is to use smoke near every intake vacuun hose . And near the intake manifold. The valve will **** in the smoke. If you clean the EGR valve and it still misses. Replace it. The EGR can cause random misfire.

The trick to setting all the monitors is:
Make sure you have more than 1/4 tank of fuel but no more than 3/4.
Clear codes then Do Not cycle key off. Start vehicle and drive,make sure you do at least 2 minutes of steady spead between 40-50 mph and at least 2 minutes at 50-65 mph, usually about a 20 to 25 mile drive will set them..
If you turn the ignition off before the monitors complete then EVAP will have to see a 6 hour cold soak before it will attempt to run again.

Turned car off at gas station want start back acts like missin

all of these problem codes refer to EGR valve and emission controls. It may be, if egr was fixed, it would be ok!! take off EGR valve and clean carbon from egr hole in engine and from EGR valve. if egr valve is bad or plugged with carbon then the car will act like it is not getting fuel, it will bog down.

Service Engine Soon

Hi,

A couple of things you can try:
  • remove the negative battery terminal to reset your car's computer. There are some car stereos that would require a security code when the battery is removed;
  • on your next fill up, try if you can get a higher octane gas instead of your normal, say if you use to put in 91, shift temporarily to 95;
  • add a can of injector/carb cleaner in your gas tank;
  • on a long stretch, drive aggressively and hard. The idea is to clean your fuel system, combustion chamber, valves, exhaust manifold, catalytic converter, exhaust system including your EGR and O2 sensors.
If error indicator persist, trace the EGR wiring with special attention to the connectors at the ends.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.
