Question about 1996 Dodge Caravan
Hello before we had to replace the engine we had no problems at all with any electicral system. No obd codes or check engine or anything.
Since the engine got replaced the car runs fine but we didn't notice till after it got dark. We turned on head lights / parking lights the Relay to bcm was clicking loudly. We checked the relay and all the fuses and under the hood ones to with a test light. Everything was fine but noticed 2 things. the relay that was clicking when replaced did same thing. I started checking the actual fuse holder on the bcm. the pins where the fuses go into. everyone besides the spares worked fine. The only one i found that didnt do anything is the 15a LT park. This spot didn't read postive or ground on testing. The RT Park one did. Is this possibly the issue?
Also Checked Engine grounds and looked over all conections.
The lights do turn on for about 2mins. then the relay slowly stops clicking and the lights turn off.
Any ideas? BCM? Short in wire? act of god?
Act of God on just one car? ok so we know that it is not first thing first disconnect the ground cable at the battery clean the battery terminals and the post with a wire brush and do the same to the battery ground cable going to the engine block, now reconnect the cables this will stop all the clickings and all sorts of act of God!!.
