Question about 1991 Toyota Camry

1 Answer

1991 Toyota Camry

I have a 91 Camry which is in very good condition. I just had the fuel injectors cleaned and after upon receiving the vehicle the 7.5 fuse that controls the power windows, automatic seatbelt harness and instrument cluster lights keeps blowing out. When key is inserted into ignition cylinder in accessory position windows, belt and light are present and functioning. When vehicle is started and in park they are still functioning until the vehicle is placed into drive and moved for a foot then place back into park the fuse continuously blows. This is noted obviously when the vehicle is shut down and windows, belts, and lights on cluster do not work.
So as to this I replace the fuse with another 7.5 fuse and with the vehicle shut down and in accessory position they resume to work.
What can be causing this problem. (I've heard that the transmission selonoid and/or the break light switch could be an issue that could be tripping out the fuse) --- your thoughts?

My problem is still not solved. I purchased the Premium Assistance plan and at the beginning could not get in touch with the mechanics. but eventually I did and we are still working on the problem.

Where is the fuel restart button on a 91 Camry

Toyota doesn't use a fuel pump reset, that is only in Ford cars, if you have no fuel pressure the fuel pump has likely failed, the pump is electric and it is located inside the fuel tank

Throttle hesitation

If you have no vacuum leaks, the injectors could be clogging up (winter gas or old gas can cause that) or the throttlebody may need cleaning. Use the correct cleaner that is O2 sensor safe! Also ensure the air filter is clean.

If there is anything, that is in any way "burnt", it needs to be replaced.
I would try a local auto recycler before I ordered a new light failure sensor.
