no, as you would be looking under the hood. from drivers seat it would be the lower right hand side.

where the serpentine belt is. I have a 96 taurus Lx Duratec.

I have a 1999 Taurus that has a ticking sound coming from the serpentine belt area. It is a relatively new belt with less than 10,000 miles on the belt. I had a new air conditioner pump put on last year, and I don't believe it is an oil or grease on the belt issue. It does not appear to be the alternator. Could it be a pre-condition of the water pump going bad? Thanks for your help in this matter. Make it a GOOD day.

Probably lifter noise caused by using synthethic oil. Change to regular oil and it should go away.

Oil pressure gauge does not reach 40 PSI. Heard the sounds like a loud ticking coming from the engine on the passengers side. Then pressed on the gas peddle and it didn't want to add power. Ticking n

Not sure if there is a question here or not. If the pressure is always below 40 and you are hearing engine noise, chances are the oil pressure really is low. You could replace the sending unit or use a mechanical gauge to verify.

If its a ticking noise Sounds like some sticky lifters. The heads get build up on them over the years and it takes awhile for the oil to get thin (hot) enfo to lube them. The noise is them being dry.

MINE DOES THE SAME THING. IT SEEMS TO ME FORDS ARE BAD TO DO THAT AFTER THEY GET A LOT OF MILEAGE ON IT. MINES USUALLY GETS QUITER AFTER IT WARMS UP. SOMETHING THAT HAS HELPED IS HEAVIER OIL (20/50) AND SOME MYSTERY OIL.

I have an 03 nissan altima engine makes loud clicking noise

1st check the the oil level and the vehicle's oil type.(owners manuel) 5w30-10w30
10w 30 is a thicker oil and could possibly be causing this.(Moves more freely through the engine heats the oil)
