2002 2.2 dci espace fuel problem!
Have replaced the high pressure fuel pump due to it braking down and putting filings around the fuel system! Have also blew out the fuel lines and emptied the fuel tank and put £30 of brand new diesil through it and changed the fuel filter! Car winds over but wont start it starts on a bump and drives all day as soon as you turn it offf and try and start it again it just winds over until thr battery goes flat! A renault mechanic has told me it could be the injectors or primary pump! Im £1500 pound down and need help! I can hear the primary pump buzzing as soon as the ignition goes on! Ive tried everything it just wont start normally but starts on a bump! Could it be the injectors have been damaged with the metal filings from the old high pressure fuel pump braking down?
Sounds like the dreaded renault immobiliser ,in which case its dealer only as software encrypted.whats happening is the immobiliser is stopping it from starting when key is in start position cranking but it will go with a bump as starter motor key position not activated .try a wire from battery to small connector on starter motor .if it starts which i think it will then you know what to do ...old fashioned way with a push button.but are you getting prepared to lay the golden egg ???just in case
Hello please help...
I have w reg renault espace and there is air in the fuel pipe and when i pump it it works but i need to get the pipe off now to get the air out compleatly?
How do i get the pipe off as its hard plastic and it wont start even when i pump all the air out now. A neigbour suggested to let the fuel pump out the air and that will solve the problem?
Is there a place where the tube will click off easily ?
Please help its costing me so much money ?
I have had a new battery amd glow plugs and it checked out i was told this is the problem ?
Please help as soon as possible thank you x
If it is the immobiliser problem and the key has not disabled it properly, try to reprogram the key by doing the following:
1. Put the key in the ignition and turn it on.
2. Disconnect the black battery lead
3. Reconnect the battery lead.
4. Take the key out.
This worked for me. fingers crossed.
5. Bingo!
