Question about 2008 Subaru B9 Tribeca

My 6 month old Subaru Tribeca won't start

Just bought my 2008 Subaru Tribeca this past April 2008. One evening last week it would not start. I had it towed to the dealership where they tell me it is not mechnical or the battery. They cannot seem to figure out what is causing it not to start. My car is 6 months new. Tomorrow they are to test the car's computer. Any thoughts?

Got a call today from the dealership. Althought last week they said there were no mechinical problems, they say today that the no start was being caused by a faulty fuel pump. Since its an 08 they don't carry the part in stock. Usually fuel pumps don't break down on brand new cars. Anyway, they say I should have the car back by Friday. One week to the day from when we first brought it in. They also said they have contacted Subaru of America to let them know of the problem.

I got the car back yesterday. After taking out the old fuel pump, the tech discovered that a pin had come out and short circuited one of the wires. A freak incident they called it. Never happened before in the history of Subaru. Lucky me! They worked very closely with SOA and made sure to document everything and correct the problem. I'm happy now and have my car again.

You wouldn't expect these things to happen in a brand new car! But sometimes its good for the manufacturer as they can modify parts and launch field fix programs or recalls. For you particular case I think you should ask the dealer the results of the scannings and post it here so that we can use the information you provide us to better our services and knowledge.
Thank you.

If it were me, I'd talk to the dealership I bought the car from. Or maybe you're just buying cheap headlights that don't last long? I'd start at the dealer though.
