Could be an expansion valve or as well as the car might need a top-up of gas?

I think you have to consult an electrician to see if your model can be repaired or will eed replacement.

I have just replaced the air conditioner, front and rear. Now the back cools fine but the front does not. The mechanic replaced an expansion valve but the problem still exists.

Does it change on the front when you move the temp control. Its likely if the expansion valve has been replaced that the blend door isn't closing all the way and some air is going thru the heater core.

1994 Nissan Sentra LEC problem

There is no carburetor on your car, it is fuel injected. Your coil is what fires the ignition. You can buy a Haynes manual, which has a troubleshooting section in it, but it sounds to me like you aren't really too sure around cars, so i'm going to suggest you find a reputable mechanic to take the car to. It may be a simple problem, but if you aren't comfortable working on cars, the mechanic is the best route. i'm sorry not to be of more help, but problems like this one can be caused by a variety of things only diagnosable while with the car to test as you go.

Air Conditioning cutting off and on

On a Fixed Orfice Tube system (FOT) the compressor cycles on and off because there is no other way to regulate the refrigerant. On a Thermal Expansion Valve system (which is what Nissan uses) the compressor stay on because the expansion valve regulates the refrigerant. It is not normal for your compressor to cycle on and off. Check your refrigerant level.

Make sure the PVC system is not plugged or disconnected, this causes pressure in the crankcase and hence the oil in the air cleaner, seen it many times
