Looking at a '95 Subaru Impreza LX

Hi there!

I'm looking at buying a '95 Subaru Impreza Sedan LX and I'm wondering what sort of maintenance schedule these cars have. This particular car only has 60,000 miles which is great for a '95 but I'm wondering if it's on the brink on many needing many updates. Thanks for the advice!

You guessed it right at 60,000 miles there is a major service due. The service consists of flushing all fluids, tire rotation, and a complete tune up with a top end clean, and a fuel injection clean. Apptox $350 to $400.

Does a 2003 subaru impreza have a chain or belt timing belt? what is the maintenance schedule?

It has a belt, and it is supposed to be done at 60,000 miles. It is a job but it can be done by a patient owner. You can't rush it, you will need the book, a Haynes manual or something like that. the shop will charge about 3 to $400 for it. I think the water pump gets done and the belt tensioner, not sure. Check it out, Hope this helps.

I have a 1993 subaru impreza 4 door L sedan with

mcdevito75 here, You"ll have to manually turn the camshaft gear and other gears to re align the marks, use the starter to align the crankshaft marks. Of course you"ll need the shop manual to show you these marks. Worse case, have the car towed to you local shop for repair.

Wiring diagram for a subaru impreza

There is no full wiring diadram for this model. All the schematics are divided into the various electrical systems on the car. There are around 50 charts to make up the set. Perhaps if you let me know what system you are interested in, I may be able to help.

Right on the top of the mass air intake where the air cleaner attaches. It has a small host running toward the front of the engine and two screws to remove it. Try cleaning it before replaceing it.

Tail lights and marker lights stay on

On my 2004 Impreza ther is a switch on top of steering column that turns those lights on all the time. Look for that switch.
